Whether or not Trump wins, as we wait for the legal battle that now ensues to play out, we need to analyze why Trumpsters exist at all and what that means to Dems on a deeper level. As just another female voter, I have some reflections on that and an opinion I want to put forward. Again, I am no political pundit. I fancy myself an average generation X moderate liberal Caucasian woman living in the foothills of a red state with a bird’s eye view to Republican opinion near me.

It bears repeating that Trumpsters tend to be uneducated…

The first thing I remember about you was the flutter in my belly, the kicks and the turns. The tiny elbows and knees. You were there before I even saw you and I felt the magic of your presence. It was just me and you. We existed in a bubble outside of time and space. To others, you were a concept, a concern, an idea, a promise. To me, you were a tiny partner in life, a new friend, an angel, a miracle, and a lifelong bond. …

It is said that what you hear as a child can inflict untold damage as an adult. What you don’t hear can equally do harm. Perhaps even as an adult, the words of a loved one can rip through your very soul calling into question everything you believed to be true, doing more damage than a bullet that ricocheted inside your body tearing apart the organs inside. Words are a weapon. They are like the arrow shot from a bow to the heart of our intended victim, unable to be retracted from their deadly aim once released.

We all are…

I’ve often wondered my whole life for hours upon hours, what makes me tick. What drives my desires, fears, passions, motivations? I was never particularly good at understanding people, least of all myself. My friends would describe me as “book smart” and “street dumb”. I had a logical way of looking at things for the most part. I thought in concepts and in probabilities unless under the influence of emotions. During times of emotional distress, I was rarely thinking and acting more off instinct than anything that could be analyzed.

As I got older, I started looking at what made…

When I was a registered nurse, working in the wards, I use to offer therapeutic interventions for people that were sick, in order to ease their suffering a bit as they stayed in the hospital. We called these comfort measures and they were documented on every shift as to what we did and when in order to ease a patient’s suffering through comfort. We were trained to do this for the patients and the family of the patients, both. …

As is the case with most situations in life, sometimes you don’t realize what you’ve got til it’s gone. With my dad, I did realize what a great man he was growing up, it has been tripled with the loss of him however. He was one of those great men that rarely exist now days, at least in my perspective and he taught me life lessons that I didn’t even realize were so valuable at the time but looking back as is the case with hindsight, you are able to gauge the magnitude of the lessons. …

To be perfectly frank, I didn’t know much about Circe, the daughter of Hekate, before joining an online coven ran by Cyndi Brannen known as Keeping Her Keys, an online modern coven dedicated to the Greek/Turkish Goddess Hekate. I honestly did not know how much I had in common with this ancient goddess who was abandoned at birth, rejected by her biological parents, sent into exile, and made the most of her dire circumstances only to become a mother and lose her beloved child.

When I grew up in my adopted family, I didn’t identify with the people that were…

Okay, so that photo has nothing to do with my article but I just like it. LOL. So I have always been into looking at society and culture and had an anthropology/sociology driven curiosity. This has led me to study generations, societies, cultures, history, and the like. I am also a witchy sort of person and have studied Wicca for 21 years. I have celebrated the wheel of the year for many years and adopted the philosophy that most Wiccans have, that life and nature are cyclical in nature, reoccurring through time on a repeat cycle that happens again and…

We are all such different creatures and we all do things in such beautiful and different ways. It’s almost like we were each born as an individual with our own personal path to follow and it won’t look like anyone else’s path…. duh.

Well for me, witchcraft is…… a way of life. I left the mundane world about 5 years ago and began to get deep into my craft after having been Wiccan and dedicated to the Goddess for about 21 years. I had waivered many times being more in or more out of practice but like many, a devastating…

I am a child of the darkness, one of those ones that cringes from the light. No, I am not Goth or a Vampire but I do find solace in the darkest places. I enjoy the solemn darkness and find my peace there. I am one that craves the separation from others and finds solace in the forests at night. I wander along the paths alone, comforted by the sound of wolves howling at the moon, owls in the trees, and things you cannot see but only hear. Their bright eyes reflecting back in the moonlight forge a bond to…
